We're thrilled to share the exciting news with you: our Luck of the Irish contest has reached its conclusion, and we have a winner! After a fantastic response from our loyal community, one customer's ProStart stood out as the most venerable, and we couldn't be happier to announce their well-deserved victory.
Congratulations to John Brunt a Shark sailor from Ontario, Canada who will be receiving a ProStart upgrade, allowing him to experience the latest innovations and improvements (bonded Gorilla Glass display, high precision magnetometer, a faster GPS and a rechargeable battery) firsthand. John's ProStart Classic was serial number VP000400, a 14 year old device from the first batch of ProStarts ever made! John received his first Velocitek, a SpeedPuck, as a Christmas gift. But, inspired by the distance to line feature, he exchanged the ‘Puck for the ProStart. John used the ProStart to aid in unlocking front row midline starts, overcoming midline sag, and avoiding pileups at the line ends. With the ProStart and the new starting strategy it enabled him to sail his best Shark Worlds up to that point. We're excited to continue providing exceptional products and services to all our customers, and events like this remind us of the incredible community that drives our success.
And congratulations to the Downtown Sailing Center in Baltimore, Maryland winning the fleet / club contest within the contest. The Downtown Sailing Center was powered to victory by passionate members and volunteers inspired by its mission to provide educational and life enriching programs that promote self-esteem and teamwork through the joy of sailing. We’re thrilled about this outcome and we’re excited that our prize pack will go to an organization that provides access to sailing for all.
